Terms & Disclaimer
These terms govern the provision of the Oceanus Coastal Emergency Assessment service by Okeanos Holdings BV. By submitting an assessment request and making payment, the client accepts these terms in full.
Nature of Service
The Okeanos Coastal Emergency Assessment is a preliminary technical advisory service. All findings and recommendations are based on information provided by the client and available desktop review, including publicly accessible data, satellite imagery, and technical literature. The assessment does not involve physical site attendance unless separately agreed in writing.
Fee and Taxes
The fixed fee for the assessment is €2,500 excluding VAT, applicable taxes, bank charges, currency conversion costs, and withholding taxes. Any such charges are the sole responsibility of the client. The fee is non-refundable once the assessment process has commenced.
Payment Terms
Payment of 100% of the assessment fee is required in full prior to commencement of any work. Payment is accepted exclusively by Wise or international bank transfer. The assessment will not begin until cleared funds have been received and confirmed by Okeanos Holdings BV.
Delivery Period
The assessment will be delivered within 5 business days of receipt of full payment and complete site information as requested by Okeanos Holdings BV. The delivery period commences only when both conditions are satisfied. Incomplete or inaccurate information may delay delivery without affecting the fee obligation.
Scope Limitations
The assessment does not constitute, and shall not be relied upon as, a final engineering design, certified technical opinion, permit application, environmental impact assessment, construction document, or legal opinion. It is a preliminary advisory document intended to inform decision-making and identify risk factors at a diagnostic level.
Requirement for Detailed Studies
Any final design, construction, permitting, environmental authorisation, or execution decision must be supported by appropriate detailed studies, engineering calculations, site investigations, compliance with local regulations, and professional certifications where applicable. The assessment is not a substitute for such work.
Obligation of Means
Okeanos Holdings BV performs the assessment under an obligation of means and professional diligence. The service does not constitute a guarantee of permitting approval, construction performance, regulatory acceptance, or project outcome. Okeanos Holdings BV shall not be liable for decisions taken on the basis of the assessment without appropriate further technical validation.
Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and truthful information regarding the site, its conditions, existing structures, regulatory context, and any other relevant factors. Okeanos Holdings BV accepts no liability for assessments based on incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information provided by the client.
Excluded Services
The following services are expressly excluded from the assessment and may be quoted separately upon request: physical site visits, topographic or bathymetric surveys, numerical modelling, detailed engineering design, permitting support, environmental authorisation, product supply, installation supervision, construction support, and long-term monitoring or maintenance.
Service Identity
CoastalAssessment.com is a specialised technical assessment service powered by Okeanos Holdings BV. All assessments are conducted by or under the supervision of qualified coastal and marine engineering professionals. Okeanos Holdings BV retains all intellectual property rights in the assessment deliverables.
Governing Law. These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from the provision of the assessment service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the assessment service and supersede all prior representations, understandings, or agreements.
